From the establishment to the challenges

Telling the story of DGS Transports is certainly the best way to describe the core values and passion of our company.

Back in1983, Guy MANCEAU, a former farmer, founded his transport company focused on the distribution in Paris and its suburbds. The following years saw the company meet a steady growth, making it an independant player of the local distribution.

After a brutal crash of the main giver network, he rolled up his sleeves and rebuilt the latter in 1993. Renamed “Trans Système Etoile” it placed DGS as a national road transporter.

Europe, a strategic revolution

2013 will remain as the big leap year for DGS Transports : completely focused on the french territory until then, the company launched its international activities that year. New partnerships were signed with independent transporters established in numerous european countries, thus giving DGS’ customers new commercial opportunities.

In 2016, DGS left the historical platform of RUNGIS for a completely renewed warehouse. With 6000 sqm  and 92 doors, the new platform gives us a completely diferent status.

Thanks to this new tool, prolific partnerships were sealed, namely when we joined Cargoline, back in 2017. We are the exclusive partner in the north of France for Cargoline.

Diversification, a mandatory route

With increasing requests from our customers, the team widen the range of services in 2019 : the storage of goods and the preparation of orders became part of our logistics solution, a real revolution for the company.

Following the year 2019 which saw our turnover reach 30 M€, two additional platforms were launched in 2020, at Bordeaux (FR33) and Salies-de-Béarn (FR64).
